Les Affaires Plus - The hidden risk of private equity funds
In its Fall 2017 edition, the Les Affaires Plus magazine published an article (in French only) entitled "Le risque caché des fonds privés" on page 30. This article by Ian Gascon, president of Idema Investments, explains that the liquidity risk of private equity funds are often underestimated. It also highlights the fact that high net worth (HNW) investors are not always well equipped to objectively analyse the pros and cons of such funds.
